Jefferson County covers an area of approximately 1,124 square miles and has a population of over 660,000 people, making it the most populous county in Alabama. The county is home to several other cities and towns, including Bessemer, Adamsville, Fairfield, Midfield, Leeds, Center Point, Tarrant, McCalla, Clay-Chalkville and Irondale.
